Brown ground beef and onions together. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Cook and stir ground beef, onion, garlic, and bell pepper in large dutch oven or stew pot set over medium-high heat until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. This is a chili recipe my grandmother always made, and has been handed down through the generations.

Steps to make Grandma's Chili:
  1. Crumble ground beef in frying pan.
  2. Stir in onion and green peppers and cover with glass lid. Sautee the beef, onions, and peppers together until cooked through and soft approx 30 minutes.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes to 1 hour to let flavours combine.
  4. Serve with shredded cheese on top. Pairs great with homemade bread.
