  1. Take 1/2 cup urad dal / minapa pappu
  2. Take 2-3 tbsps rice flour
  3. Make ready as needed Salt
  4. Make ready Generous pinch of hing
  5. Get 1/2 tbsp. pepper crushed
  6. Make ready 1-2 green chilies chopped
  7. Get 3/4 tsp finely chopped ginger (optional)
  8. Make ready 4-5 curry leaves chopped finely
  9. Take Few coriander leaves chopped finely
  10. Take Oil as needed for frying
  11. Prepare Rasam ingrdients
  12. Get 1 medium sized tomato finely chopped
  13. Prepare 2 green chilli slit lengthwise
  14. Make ready few curry leaves
  15. Make ready 1 cup tamarind extract
  16. Get 1/2 tsp turmeric powder / haldi
  17. Make ready 1/2 tsp jaggery
  18. Get to taste salt
  19. Prepare 2 cups water
  20. Take 1 cup toor dal cooked
  21. Take 2 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  22. Take for rasam powder:(or use udupi rasam powder)
  23. Make ready 1 tsp oil1 tsp coriander seeds / dhaniya seeds
  24. Get 1/2 tsp jeera / cumin seeds
  25. Prepare 10 methi seeds / fenugreek seeds
  26. Take 3 dried kashmiri red chilli / lal mirch
  27. Make ready leaves few curry
  28. Get 1/4 tsp black pepper / kali mirch
  29. Take for tempering:
  30. Take 1 tsp oil
  31. Take 1tsp mustard seeds / rai
  32. Make ready 1/2 tsp urad dal
  33. Take 2 dried red chilli broken
  34. Make ready few curry leaves
  35. Make ready pinch asafoetida / hing

It is also popular in Andhra Pradesh served as breakfast with nic. Heat oil to fry, make into small round bondas and put into the oil, cook on a very slow flame. Remove once it is golden brown color. Mysore bonda, Ulundu bonda recipe, made with urad dal as main ingredient.

Instructions to make Mysore Bonda and Ulundu bonda with Rasam:
  1. Wash urad dal until the water runs clear.
  2. Soak it enough water for 2 hours.
  3. Drain the water and add it to a blender jar along with 2 to 3 tbsps water and salt as needed.
  4. Blend it to a smooth fluffy batter adding more water as needed.
  5. The batter has to be thick like the vada batter.
  6. .Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  7. Beat the batter for 2 to 3 mins.
  8. Making mysore bonda
  9. Heat oil in a deep pan.
  10. When the oil is hot enough, take small portions of this batter and drop in the oil.
  11. Stir and fry until golden.
  12. Transfer them to an absorbent tissue.
  13. Serve mysore bonda hot with any chutney or Rasam.
  14. Firstly, add a tsp of oil and roast coriander seeds, jeera, methi seeds, red chilli, curry leaves and pepper.
  15. Blend to fine powder. keep side.
  16. In a kadai take tomatoes, green chilli and curry leaves.
  17. Also add tamarind extract, turmeric, jaggery and salt.
  18. Cover and boil the tamarind water for 15 minutes.
  19. Add 2 cups of water and get to boil.
  20. Now add cooked toor dal and mix well.
  21. Also add prepared rasam powder or udupi rasam powder.
  22. Mix well and continue to boil for 2 minutes.
  23. Meanwhile, prepare for tempering by heating oil.
  24. Add mustard, urad dal, dried red chilli, curry leaves and hing.
  25. Pour the tempering onto the rasam.
  26. Also add coriander leaves and serve tomato rasam recipe or easy tomato saaru recipe with rice or Mysore bonda…

Remove once it is golden brown color. Mysore bonda, Ulundu bonda recipe, made with urad dal as main ingredient. Chopped coconut and whole pepper tastes great. perfect snack with coffee or tea.
