  10. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt as soon as removed from fryer.
  11. Serve with the dipping sauce.

Tempura dipping sauce, tentsuyu can be put together in a matter of minutes if you have pre-made dashi soup stock on hand. It is most often served with a dipping sauce called tentsuyu, made from dashi soup, mirin, and soy sauce. Keep the tempura warm in the oven, leaving the door slightly ajar so that they stay crisp. They are best served immediately on a warm plate with the sauce alongside for dipping.
