This chickpea curry is loaded with pantry staples like coconut milk, canned chickpeas and curry powder. The coconut milk gives this dish a bit of sweetness and the curry powder brings a little heat. This chickpea curry recipe is by no means overly spicy. Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium-low heat.

  1. Get chickpeas.(.de skined)
  2. Prepare Quater cup pureed tomato juice (can use can tomatoes)

  6. Get Spics:1? tspn.madras curry pwdr, plainprika pwdr,salt,chili flks
  7. Make ready Tumeric,Garlic,zaatar black seeds
  8. Get handf Chpped corriander whole chilli for lovly herby garnishes

Uncover pan and add onions and leeks, stir, then lower heat to medium and cover for a minute. Add chili peppers, stir, cover for another minute. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium-low heat.

Instructions to make Chickpea curry:
  1. Add your oil in pan heat.Fry chopped onions til golden,then add spices,only briefly so not let to burn.
  2. Add the chopped tomatoes.the simmer until the tomatoes start sticking at base.stir it well
  3. Add some water.simmer a bit more until the tomatoes are soft.break down with wooden spoon.
  4. Add de skinned chick peas this may be a process on itself ie soaking them abit and then letting the skins float and fish them out etc..hopefully.Alternatively use the other type which has no skin.so as to avoid this step
  5. Then Add bit of water to let the chick peas cook.add choped corriander and while chilli optional and garnish.also give lovely greens and flavor.and is herby healthy too! Serve with rice and nismillah enjoy
