Grind the grated coconut along with remaining turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder, fenugreek seeds,ginger piece, garlic, shallots/pearl onions and tamarind to a fine paste adding enough water. Once the oil is hot add the chopped onions and garlic.
