  1. Get Beef
  2. Make ready 40 g cornflour
  3. Prepare 2 tbsp oil
  4. Make ready 2 tsp crushed ginger (thumbsize) minced
  5. Get 650 g rump steak thinly sliced (or lean frying steak)
  6. Prepare 2 cloves garlic chopped and minced
  7. Prepare 30 ml soy sauce
  8. Take 200 ml water
  9. Prepare 30 g honey
  10. Take 1/2 tsp chilli flakes (optional)
  11. Get 2 spring onions finely chopped
  12. Take Pinch salt and pepper
  13. Get Mixed Veg
  14. Make ready 1 red pepper -strips
  15. Make ready Mushroom - handful sliced
  16. Get 1 courgette -sticks (defluffed)
  17. Take 2 tsp water
  18. Get 1 tsp sunflower oil
  19. Get Noodles
  20. Get 400 g fresh egg noodles
  21. Take 1 tsp sunflower oil
Steps to make Mongolian beef:
  1. Coat beef in cornflour and set aside
  2. Heat pan add garlic and ginger constantly stirring for 30 seconds (do not brown)
  3. Add beef and pinch of salt and pepper and fry until cooked through
  4. Add soy sauce, water, honey and chilli flakes and simmer for 5 to 10 mins
  5. Whilst beef simmering prepare veg if not already done
  6. Add 1tsp oil to pan and stir fry veg 4 minutes before end of beef simmering, add water if needed
  7. Add 1 tsp oil to seperate pan and stir fry noodles 2-4 mins stir constantly
  8. Once noodles and veg cooked add both to pan with beef
  9. Mix well and serve immediately with spring onion on top
