The ingredients needed to make Purple yam puri:
  1. Get 250 gms purple yam
  2. Make ready 1 cup besan
  3. Prepare 1 tbsp. Rawa
  4. Take 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  5. Get 1/2 tsp. Turmeric powder
  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp. Asafoetida
  7. Take to taste Salt
  8. Make ready 1 tsp. Garam masala
  9. Make ready 1 tsp pepper
  10. Get 1 tsp dry corriender
  11. Take Pinch soda
  12. Make ready as required Oil for fry
  13. Take as required Besan kadhi to serve
Instructions to make Purple yam puri:
  1. Peel and make slices of purple yam. Sprinkle soda and salt sprinkle water 2-3tsp leave it for 10-15 mins.
  2. Now take a besan in a bowl add rawa and all masala except pepper crushed and dry coriander. Add water and make thick consistency batter.
  3. Crush pepper and dry coriander in khul butta. Heat oil add 1tsp hot oil in batter mix well. Dip yam slice sprinkle crushed pepper coriander and fry in golden brown colour. Take out on a tissue.
  4. Tasty delicious purple yam puri is ready to serve with besan kadhi. Grandma favourite Puri.
