Chicken Seekh Kabab are a delicious Indian appetizer made with ground minced meat & a handful of spices and are usually served with a side of green chutney. Black chickpeas (Bengal gram): These chickpeas come from India where they are sun-dried until they turn a deep rust color. Like regular chickpeas, they have a deep, earthy aroma and a nutty flavor. The chickpea or chick pea (Cicer arietinum) is an annual legume of the family Fabaceae, subfamily Faboideae.

Steps to make Chickpea kabab:
  1. Add tin of chickpeas to a blender with the onions, green chilli, garlic, coriander leaves, ground cumin, curry powder, salt and lemon juice. Blend everything to a smooth paste.
  2. Prepare a mixing bowl. Remove the blended mixture into a big mixing bowl and add some salt and porridge oats to the bowl and mix the mixture together.
  3. Heat up your griddled pan to high heat, add oil and then scoop a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball shape or rugby shape if prefer. Shallow fry till it is brown on either side. Keep flipping the koftas so that it does not get burnt.
  4. You can shape it to long shape and use the bamboo skewers to hold it together.
  5. Serve with flatbread, yogurt dipping and mango chutney and salad 😋
