  1. Take 2 cup Maida
  2. Prepare 1/4 cup Desi ghee

  4. Prepare 50 gm cashewnuts crushed
  5. Take 150 gm desiccated coconut
  6. Prepare 150 gm powder sugar
  7. Prepare 200 g khoya
  8. Prepare Oil to fry

Crispy and flaky traditional Gujiya recipe is rich and delicious. Cook the khoya till it begins to gather around itself. Add khoya/Mawa in ghee and saute it for a minute over medium heat. Remove it in a big mixing Always keep the fried gujiya on a kitchen towel for few seconds to soak up any excess oil and let. mawa gujia is a famous Indian mithai most often made during Holi and Diwali.

Instructions to make Mawa (khoya) gujiya:
  1. Add ghee to maida and rub with fingers nicely. Now add water n knead into a dough. Keep covered for sometimes
  2. Fry Mawa in a pan till brown. Remove from flame n cool. Add coconut, nuts and powder sugar. Mix well n make small long rolls of khoya.
  3. Roll a thin chapati of maida dough, cut with a cutter into small circles. Now roll these circles little. Dust gujiya mould and put rolled chapati on the mould. Now put one khoya roll on it. Apply some water on the edges and seal the gujiya. Prepare all n keep covered aside.
  4. Heat oil and bring flame to medium. Fry gujiya three to four at a time on med flame.
  5. Store fried gujiya in steel or glass container n enjoy.
