  1. Take 250 gms Mutton pieces
  2. Take 2 tbsp oil
  3. Get 2 Cardamoms
  4. Take 4-5 Cloves
  5. Take 2 sticks Cinnamon
  6. Make ready 1-2 Bay Leaves
  7. Get 2 Onions
  8. Get 1 1/2 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  9. Get 1/4 tbsp turmeric powder
  10. Prepare 1/2 tsp red chilli powderโ€‹
  11. Prepare 1 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  12. Prepare 2 Tomatoes
  13. Prepare 1/2 cup Yoghurt
  14. Get 1/4 tsp Garam Masala powder
  15. Make ready to taste Salt

Here is how to prepare delicious Dhabha style mutton curry. That is popularly known as Dhabe Da Meat in northern India. Mutton curry recipe - Lamb curry or mutton masala gravy.

Instructions to make Punjabi mutton curry:
  1. Clean and wash mutton pieces. Drain water and keep it aside. - Heat oil in a fry pan. Add cardamom, cloves, cinnamons and bay leaves. - Saute for a minute. Add finely chopped onion and salt. - Saute till the onion turns light brown.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell disappears. - Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder. - Combine well and add mashed tomatoes. - Cook until the tomatoes turn pulpy and oil separates out from the masala.
  3. Add the mutton pieces and mix well. - Cook in medium flame for 4 to 5 mins, stirring once in a while. Add yogurt and mix well. - Cook further for 4 to 5 minutes more. Now add 2 cups of water. Stir well. - Taste and adjust salt and seasonings. Add freshly chopped coriander leaves.
  4. Add garam masala powder and mix well. - Transfer the masala into the pressure cooker and pressure cook for 4 whistles and simmer for 10 to 12 mins. - Once the pressure turns off, combine gently. Punjabi Mutton Masala is ready.
