  1. Get For Khaman
  2. Get 200 grams gram dal
  3. Prepare 1/2 inch ginger
  4. Take 2 green chilli
  5. Take 5-6 ground black pepper
  6. Take 1/4 turmeric
  7. Take to taste Salt
  8. Take 1 ltr water for steam
  9. Take For curry
  10. Take 1 small onion chopped
  11. Make ready 1 medium tomato chopped
  12. Make ready 1-2 tsp curd
  13. Take 1 tsp red chilli powder
  14. Prepare 1tsp coriander powder
  15. Take 1/4 turmeric powder
  16. Make ready 1/2tsp Kasoori methi powder
  17. Prepare 1 tablespoon oil
  18. Prepare 1/4 garam masala
  19. Make ready 1 Bay leaf
  20. Prepare to taste Salt
  21. Take 1/2 tsp Cumins seeds
  22. Prepare as required Javitri
  23. Take as required Coriander chopped for garnish
Instructions to make Khaman ki sabzi:
  1. Soak chana (gram) dal for 4 hrs.
  2. Make rough (dardara) paste and keep this for over night. Along with chilli, ginger and salt
  3. Now put Khaman better in steamer and steam for 20 mins. Then cut in to pieces.
  4. Take iron kadahi. Add cooking oil. Then add cumin seed, bay leave and javitri for tempering
  5. Now add chopped onions and cook them for 3 mins
  6. Now add chopped tomatoes and cook them for another 5 mins. Keep the lid on.
  7. Check tomatoes and onions. If they are soft enough and oil oozing out. Add turmeric, salt, garam masala, coriander powder and red chilli powder. Mix well. Add little water if required and again keep lid on.
  8. Gravy is ready now add Khaman and mix well. Again keep lid for 2 mins.
  9. Now add curd, mix it, add chopped coriander and turn off the gas.
