To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have ewedu using 7 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Ewedu:
  1. Get leaves Ewedu
  2. Get Potash
  3. Take Locust beans (Iru)
  4. Take Egusi (melon)
  5. Get Maggi (small cube)
  6. Prepare Salt
  7. Get Crayfish
Instructions to make Ewedu:
  1. Pick all the leaves off the branch. Run the tap water through the leaves and rinse it from sand.
  2. Put them in a blender and add water. A little water would do. Measure the water by putting quarter of the amount of Ewedu leaves in the blender.
  3. Blend the Ewedu roughly. Not a smooth paste please. ON &OFF on the blender a few times.
  4. In a Medium sized pot, put a little water and add the Potash. Let it boil a little, then add the blended Ewedu. Stir gently.
  5. Add crayfish, Egusi, maggi stir together and wait for 2 minutes. The Ewedu is ready to be served.
