If you have any leftover, store in a bowl covered in clingfilm in the fridge. You can reheat (removing the clingfilm) or serve cold the next day.

  1. Grease oven dish with small amount of butter. Preheat oven 180c (fan). Add chopped apple.
  2. Add butter to flour and mix/ crumb by hand to fine crumbs in a bowl.
  3. Mix in sugar to crumble
  4. Add blackberries, water and sprinkle of sugar to apples in oven dish.
  5. Add crumble to apple mixture and spread evenly. Sprinkle more sugar on top.
  6. Cook crumble on middle shelf of oven 180c (fan) for 30 to 45 minutes. You want the crumble to start browning. Don’t worry if there are cracks.
  7. Serve with tinned custard,cream or milk

If you have any leftover, store in a bowl covered in clingfilm in the fridge. You can reheat (removing the clingfilm) or serve cold the next day. This blackberry crumble is an easy berry crumble recipe with apples. Toss the apples with the blackberries, lemon juice, golden caster sugar and cinnamon. Put in a large ovenproof dish and scatter over the crumble mix, spreading it evenly.
