  4. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface, then roll it on that floured surface into almost 1.5 cm thick piece.
  5. Cut the dough into preferred sizes using a knife. Then set aside for deep frying.
  6. Heat the oil in a frying pan/ karai like mine until the oil is heated enough. Then gently dip the mandazi pieces to cook until light brown on the first side then turn to cook on the second side.
  7. Serve them warm with tea or stew
