  1. Get 2 packs Shirataki (OR Itokonnyaku) *400 to 500g
  2. Take 200 g Atsu-age (Deep Fried Tofu)
  3. Prepare 1 small piece Ginger *sliced into fine strips
  4. Take 1/2 cup Dashi *OR 1/2 cup Water & 1/4 teaspoon Dashi Powder
  5. Prepare 2 tablespoons Mirin
  6. Prepare 1 tablespoon Sugar
  7. Get 2-3 tablespoons Soy Sauce

The Nutritional Value of Shirataki Noodles. Shirataki noodles have almost no calories and virtually no carbs, making them perfect for any diet — especially the ketogenic diet. Tofu shirataki noodles are manufactured by adding tofu to the shirataki flour for a less rubbery texture. These noodles are opaque and yellow-white, better mimicking the appearance of wheat flour pasta.

Instructions to make Shirataki & Atsu-age (Deep Fried Tofu):
  1. Rinse Shirataki (it has a strong smell), drain well, and cut about 5cm in length. Cut Atsu-age (Fried Tofu) into bite size pieces.
  2. Place all ingredients in a saucepan and cook until sauce is almost gone.
