Beat butter, sugar and cinnamon until crumbly. This simple pear tart could not be easier—a crust, some sliced pears, and a simple pear syrup made by boiling a few pear slices in some sugar and water. Best of all, even Bartlett pears, which usually fall apart when cooked, will attractively keep their shape in this tasty tart. In a large bowl toss the pear slices with the lemon juice.

The ingredients needed to make Easy Pear Tart:
  1. Prepare 1 pack puff pastry
  2. Make ready 250 g Apple compote +extra for glazing
  3. Make ready 4-5 pears
  4. Take 1 tbls granulated sugar to sprinkle on top
  5. Take 1/2 tsp cinnamon to sprinkle on top
  6. Make ready 1 egg beaten

Place on a rimmed baking sheet. Transfer to a wire rack and cool in the pan. Transfer to a parchment paper-lined baking sheet; set aside.; In a large bowl, combine the pears, cherries and vanilla. Core the pear quarters and the half.

Instructions to make Easy Pear Tart:
  1. Start by preheating the oven to 200C fan and line a baking sheet
  2. Roll the puff pastry out and cut to a circle (you can use a plate as a guide)
  3. Place on the baking sheet and add the apple compote making sure you do not go to the crust area (leave about 2 cm gap all around the pastry)
  4. Place the pears in a circle on the pastry and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Brush the crust area with the egg wash and place in the oven for 40 minutes.
  6. When ready remove from baking sheet and place on a cooling rack to cool.
  7. Once cooled take the extra apple compote (a good few tablespoons) and heat it up in a microwave or over the hob and brush all over including the crust which will give it a lovely glaze finish.
  8. Sprinkle with a little icing sugar and it’s ready to serve.

Transfer to a parchment paper-lined baking sheet; set aside.; In a large bowl, combine the pears, cherries and vanilla. Core the pear quarters and the half. As you peel and cut the pears, place them in a bowl and sprinkle some lemon juice over them to keep them from turning brown. Return to oven and place on the top rack. Broil very briefly; watching carefully until pears gain a nice caramelized look.
